Tomorrow I'm returning to the U.S. after ten days in Pakistan visiting with my friends at the Interfaith League Against Poverty.
They have a wonderful peace program that they are implementing that involves peace education, econmic empowerment and community outreach into all of Pakistan's 110 districts.
I visited a village where women had organized a peace group, had a peace garden, peace signs with positve messages diplayed around the village and were bringing the message of peace into their families.
The Interfaith League Against Poverty supports a number of these type of women's peace groups throughout the country along with student peace groups in colleges, universities, and schools.
We need to work on convincing our leaders to invest resources in programs and people like these instead of wasting resources and lives on the weapons of war.

Anything that we can do to support a global
culture of peace is worthwhile. It doesn't matter how
big or small.
Gandhi put it very well when he said;
"Whenever you are in doubt or when the self becomes too much with you, try the following experiment: Recall the face of the poorest and most helpless person you have ever seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be for any use to him or to her . . . Then you will find your doubts and your self melting away."
Mohandas Gandhi

Peace & Best Wishes,

Two key words to life existence namely: LOVE
and JUSTICE, and in the begining it was all
good and positive and along the line negative
set in.
The two diamensions:Good and Evil, or Peace
and Wars, or Life and Death, etc.{Positive and
Negative}.
1.Natural and Divine Justice demand that
Vectors of the negative be put to death or
punished.
2.Natural and Divine Love also demand Vectors
of the negative be set free and live.
For this reason, the Natural and Divine Wisdom
struck a balance from the two,to give peace and
life a chance to rule and prevail. And this is
by a costly SACRIFICIAL OFFERING and commitment
by a mediator.
So, let all see with knowledge, wisdom and
understanding that solution on earth for man-
kind is by sacrificial commitments. Let`s not
give up advocating for peace to bury conflicts,
voilence and wars.
Steve, your positive impact for peace is felt
all over the world.

The readership are those who are expected to provide the
peace news, not just me.
There are wonderful peace things happening all over the
world, and people need to hear about them.
The constant pounding of our minds with the negative and
violent news we are exposed to is damaging the human psyche.
Its not that bad things don't happen, but so do good things,
more often than bad. People need to know that so we can get
balance into our lives.
I'm leaving for Iran and Pakistan next week to visit with
peace people in both countries.
There is a peace museum in Tehran doing wonderful things
for peace, and educating people about the need to rid the
world of weapons of mass destruction.
The group I'm meeting with in Pakistan has built schools for
children displaced by natural and man-made disasters.
These are very positive things happening in places where
we often don't hear good news coming from.

I am back after a tough task of fact finding report about the posibility of strarting peace education with children of primary schools. Due to great quench of peace sorounding our country the community is very much ready we work on this new area. I beleive the peaceful coexistence is possible once the community owns the whole process and methodology. Kinyua wrote to me about an april event about Africa but inspite of my great interest to participate I am tied by studies as I informed you I combine working and studies where I am doing B.A in social ministry and we are clossing mid may. During my long holiday I will basically take back to the community what have learnt in colleges through praxis. We are working on strenghening our networks as community peace museums with fiffteen ethnic groups already in membership. I am hoping that the foundation we are under the community peace museum heritage foundation will keep on growing. bye and continue enjoying your easter as you reflect on what plan God has for his people.Bye.

From a Peace Partner in Kenya

Dear bro,
We are doing well here in Kenya. I am glad that peace has resumed and reconciliation process is under way.
As I informed you Kenya has diverse culture that if harnessed they can strengthen peace bonds I am grad that according to our field progress elders have started joining hands together to unite all ethnic groups. Last week our Community peace museum managed to organize a workshop of elders from twelve communities and we managed also to visit three camps of internally displaced peoples and elders had time to encourage the affected Kenyans. The fantastic bit was that in spite of what Kenyans have undergone they believe it is possible to build on lasting peace. Our network of peace museums here in Kenya is now developing a new approach of our peace education program that is still at pilot level. We are looking for support that can enhance us involve all ages of people as for the last six months we were working with children and elders only. Besides that from the workshop elders proposed for a formation of elders peace initiative consisting all the Kenyan ethnic groups this is also on our mind. Steve there is a great need to come up with lasting solution for peace in Kenya and the best best approach is that by by building on the positive a bout what is within we will achieve something. I appreciate your encouragement and I welcome your input on these ideas and I am hoping very soon we will manage to join international peace network.
peace be with you.
