Why is it that we don’t hear much about the good news that is always happening around us?
If one plane goes down its news, but the fact that daily 1000’s land without incident, who cares.
A violent act occurs in the West Bank and its front page stuff, 100’s of Palestinians turn out for nonviolent demonstrations, no mention of it.
News media focuses on the bad news, :no: or scarey news. 88| You’ve heard the saying;
‘If it bleeds it leads.” And this gives us the impression of a world spinning violently out of control.

Got good news? Let us hear about it.

I’ll start; one bit of really good news is that the people who want to live in peace all around the world far outnumber the violent. We need to empower them.

The readership are those who are expected to provide the
peace news, not just me.
There are wonderful peace things happening all over the
world, and people need to hear about them.
The constant pounding of our minds with the negative and
violent news we are exposed to is damaging the human psyche.
Its not that bad things don't happen, but so do good things,
more often than bad. People need to know that so we can get
balance into our lives.
I'm leaving for Iran and Pakistan next week to visit with
peace people in both countries.
There is a peace museum in Tehran doing wonderful things
for peace, and educating people about the need to rid the
world of weapons of mass destruction.
The group I'm meeting with in Pakistan has built schools for
children displaced by natural and man-made disasters.
These are very positive things happening in places where
we often don't hear good news coming from.

Two key words to life existence namely: LOVE
and JUSTICE, and in the begining it was all
good and positive and along the line negative
set in.
The two diamensions:Good and Evil, or Peace
and Wars, or Life and Death, etc.{Positive and
Negative}.
1.Natural and Divine Justice demand that
Vectors of the negative be put to death or
punished.
2.Natural and Divine Love also demand Vectors
of the negative be set free and live.
For this reason, the Natural and Divine Wisdom
struck a balance from the two,to give peace and
life a chance to rule and prevail. And this is
by a costly SACRIFICIAL OFFERING and commitment
by a mediator.
So, let all see with knowledge,wisdom and
understanding that solution on earth for man-
kind is by sacrificial commitments. Let`s not
give up advocating for peace to bury conflicts,
voilence and wars.
Steve, your positive impact for peace is felt
all over the world.

Anything that we can do to support a global
culture of peace is worthwhile. It doesn't matter how
big or small.
Gandhi put it very well when he said;
"Whenever you are in doubt or when the self becomes too much with you, try the following experiment: Recall the face of the poorest and most helpless person you have ever seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be for any use to him or to her . . . Then you will find your doubts and your self melting away."

Tomorrow I'm returning to the U.S. after ten days in Pakistan visiting with my friends at the Interfaith League Against Poverty.
They have a wonderful peace program that they are implementing that involves peace education, econmic empowerment and community outreach into all of Pakistan's 110 districts.
I visited a village where women had organized a peace group, had a peace garden, peace signs with positve messages diplayed around the village and were bringing the message of peace into their families.
The Interfaith League Against Poverty supports a number of these type of women's peace groups throughout the country along with student peace groups in colleges, universities, and schools.
We need to work on convincing our leaders to invest resources in programs and people like these instead of wasting resources and lives on the weapons of war.

We are what we think, speak and do. If we fill our lives with violence and fear then our world will reflect that, but when we choose to make space for peace and hope in our lives our world can take on those qualities.

In today’s world there are very few places set aside where “peace” is given a space for growth. Like the seeds of a flower, which need fertile soil to grow; peace needs its garden to blossom in.
The environment we provide for our children to grow in is what will decide the future of the world’s social environment; if we fill it with violence, fear, greed and conflict their future will likely contain the same.
The time has come for us to “Focus on Peace”.
“I am because you are.” A wonderful African saying that sums up our interdependence on each other and our environment. If we could embrace this view globally all the world’s children would inherit a beautiful future to grow in.
Please share with us your ideas, thoughts, and concerns about peace so we can learn from each other and build our network of peace.
